For most people going to concerts is a fun activity any night of the week. Whether it’s your favorite band that’s playing, or a free show that is down the street from your house, concerts are always a fun time. Located on Western Avenue, The Empty Bottle is always a fun spot to visit for a drink and a show. Whether you want to see your favorite rap artist or a hip indie band, The Empty Bottle always hosts a great show.

Located in the heart of Wicker Park, Double Door is a widely known and adored bar and music venue. Though Chicagoans are sad to see the days of Double Door end, as it will be closing, this bar is a great place to have a fun night of dancing and drinking with friends.

Though Thalia Hall is mainly a music venue (and we are trying to list bars that are also music venues) we had to include it. Located in Pilsen, Thalia Hall is a beautiful and very popular venue. The venue also includes a restaurant, Dusek’s, and bar Punch House which in the basement. This venue is like no other—you can eat, drink, and dance when you visit Thalia Hall.
“The Hideout is a regular guy bar for irregular folks who just don’t fit in, or just don’t want to fit in.” The Hideout has been around for a long time and is a favorite to many, many Chicagoans. Located near the Wicker Park/Bucktown area, The Hideout is definitely a spot to check out for a sweet night of music and drinks.

Located in Uptown, The Green Mill is one of the oldest running jazz clubs in the country. Not only can you go to this famous spot and sip a cocktail while you listen to jazz, you can also hear slam poetry at The Green Mill. If you’re visiting Chicago, The Green Mill is a definite “must-visit”.
